In 1971, I married an independent, good-looking hippie. Thankfully, he was a Christian, and we shared the same values.
We had some good times, some bad times, and lots of living in between. I’ll never forget the words, “That’s not how my mom makes that” when I’d serve a meal. I wanted to send him back to his mom a few times. A wonderful lady, she would have sent him back home, probably with her recipes in his hand.
We have two grown sons (both strong Christian men), two beautiful and loving daughters-in-law, and six adorable, growing-up-too-fast grandchildren. Our family life is active and fulfilling.
Recently retired after 28 years as an administrative assistant to a commercial real estate
broker/developer, I now have time to devote to writing. The knowledge gained, the challenges overcome, the confidence instilled, and the friends made during my years of employment are invaluable assets as I navigate this writing journey of joy!
Welcome to the ranks of the semi-retired. May God bless your work as well as the readers as you’ve blessed me.
